Spacemakers

Hartcliffe area, Bristol
2003

Working with a group of young people from the Hartcliffe area in Bristol, over a period of two years, Spacemakers explored whether public space could be developed in their interest, including identifying and mapping possible locations, co-building and testing ideas for future use, and working with architect Greg White on a permanent translation. The first act was to print and billpost an announcement across the neighborhood.

Commissioned by Clare Cumberlidge for Bristol Architecture Centre.
More info at Public Art Online and the Spacemakers space is still going.
