andmillionsandmillions

2001

andmillionsandmillions is an ongoing project with temporary and permanent iterations across spaces, somewhere between painting, graphic design, and wild wallpaper. The collages are cut and pasted on site, sometimes taking the full height of the space, at other times just scattered around. The remaining posters are left on a shelf to be taken away and/or used somewhere else.

andmillionsandmillions was initially developed as an exhibition format for The Showroom London in June 2001, on the invitation of its then Director Kirsty Ogg.

andmillionsandmillions has been used across ar, domestic and public spaces, including exhibitions Creek at Cell Project Space London(2003), Pavilion at Bloomberg Space, London (2003), Tonight curated by Paul O’Neill Studio Voltaire, London (2004), Sodio y Asfalto, curated by Ann Gallager and Tobias Ostrander, Museo Rufino Tamayo, Mexico City (2004), Galerie Barabara Wien, Berlin (2004). Paul Allen's flat in South London was the first private environment, and Visit Tingbjerg, curated by Kenneth Belfelt and Matthias Borello in Copenhagen, made public use of a collective process of designing, printing and pasting.
