Cut and Paste

with Nicoline van Harskamp
2001

Cut and Paste involved producing ideas for the public areas of the Pembury Estate in Hackney, east London, by translating suggestions into ad hoc installations and proposals. As part of a wider public program of design, this fast translation from ideas into actualities influenced the decision-making around long-term proposals, functions, and aesthetics. Cut and Paste’s 1:1-scale propositions included a public kitchen, a local camp site, a public sculpture, communal washing lines, and a fountain. Cut and Paste was a collaboration with Nicoline van Harskamp.
