International Village Shop

as Myvillages
2007

The International Village Shop is a permanent infrastructure to connect rural places that uses trade as a method to address and talk production and value systems. It is self-initiated, collaborative, and trans-local. Some shops are temporary, others permanent, most can be found in villages, but versions also open in urban art spaces. The goods in the shop are a mix of existing local products alongside specially made goods that travel between places. See internationalvillageshop.net.
