Community Haystacks

Community Haystacks are part of the Haystacks series, initiated by Kathrin in 2013, to talk about rural practices, connections, and knowledge in London. The Annual Community Haystacks took place in the Lea Valley between Hackney and Walthamstow Forest, on former common land that was used for grazing. They were a mix of learning how to scythe, nature walks and talks, presentation and discussion rounds, and a general hanging out on public land. Collaborators and speakers included Ida Fabrizio, The Land Magazine, Severine von Tscharner Fleming, Lala Meredith-Vula, and Sigrid Holmwood. See h-a-y-s-t-a-c-k-s.net.
