The Heuhaufen at Künstlerhaus Stuttgart is a collaboration with Stephen Wright and Tamarind Rossetti, whose motto „Farming Everything” shapes their artistic directorship work at the Künstlerhaus.
The hay was made locally and brought to the main gallery as material, artistic practice, sculpture, furniture, more-than-human environment and a reason to discuss relationships between shifts in contemporary art and in agriculture.
Hay-writing, a slide show and fade prints made in the in-house workshop were part of the installation
Thank you to Jochen Detscher’s support in the print studio, Manuela Obermeier, Bernhad Lehr, Daniel Richter and Stephanie Bollinger Casale for the hay.
Haystacks/Heuhaufen/Swylje are continuous trans-local programme by Myvillages/Rural School of Economics.
