The Unfreeze Your Brain Festival was a call to action, to discover and connect with urgent topics if we want to move towards more-than-capitalist, de-colonial, inter-species and post-patriarchal futures. Art meets business meets futures:

The Alanus University campus became a meeting place for everyone interested in rethinking the economy, and the role of art towards imagining and creating more equitable and sustainable futures.
Contributions include Everything is political with Katharina Reuter, Decolonise your thinking with Lavinia Muth, Shape the economy the way you want it with Timo Wans, Emancipatory Ruralities with Compost Ensemble, Underneath the same sun, reading with Nadège Kusanika, Free Your Inner Cow with Wapke Feenstra from Myvillages, Employee activism with Susanne Blazejewski and Milan Kiefer and Stone Ritual, a more-than-human performance with Annabelle Wimmer Bakic.

Unfreeze Your Brain was part of the “Summer of Change – Bonn Cultural Festival”, an initiative by the Federal City of Bonn in cooperation with the Bundeskunsthalle Bonn. Pre-festival events included collective rhubarb gleaning, and scything with Ralf Benner.
