Bag Factory is part of the international Triangle network, of which London-based Gasworks is also a member. The organization invited Kathrin, Andreas Lang, and Ottillie Ventiroso to their base in Johannesburg to help create a research-based strategy for their architectural development. A public DIY design studio on the threshold between the street and the building, titled Make Shift, produced a series of spatial and programmatic proposals that strengthened and emphasized what was there.
