2021 was "Compost" year.
Kathrin Böhm: COMPOST at The Showroom London
Phase 01: Turning the Heap from 16 June to 24 July 2021
Phase 02: For Future Use from 15 September to 18 October 2021
Tuesday 12 October 2021, online event
Art on the scale of change with contributions by The White Pube, art.coop, ruangrupa, The Showroom and The Centre for Plausible Economies.
September 2021
The gallery shutters are open again from Wednesday to Saturday 12-5pm. The pile has rested and COMPOST now constitutes a public and shared process of drawing fertiliser to inform and organise practice in the near future, taking its approach to artistic production, exhibition-making and new models of sustainability as a method of enquiry. The gallery space is now re-organised to allow COMPOST to dematerialise through swapping, buying, gifting and trading.
July 2021
Compost has been in the making and in public since mid June. The material in the gallery space has been turned over and moved around. Books and topics and questions and objects and suggestions have been pulled out, discussed and put back. The pile seems high. The pressure to summarise and extract and formulate solutions has been met with calmness. Compost is resting throughout August.
